So along with replacing my clutch slave cylinder for a sexy after market piece (the old one was leaking internally) and a 16t front sprocket to improve acceleration and low down twitchiness (also fitted by KTM from 07 -)
I'm now going to be doing this conversion to up my pathetic fuel range Smile

2 Thumbs up I might try one of the modified twist grip barrels on the 990, makes it less like an on off switch. And I am definitely going to do this mod.....regains full power in 2nd and 3rd gears ! Very Happy

I'd check what size front sprocket you have on it, if it's 17 swap it for 16, sorts the throttle 'twitchyness' right out!

(PS, you can't put a pussy throttle on then then give it more power in 2-3 Laughing )

The front lifts now with the 16t don't think I need anymore power Twisted Evil

That hair trigger throttle is one reason why I sold mine.
Not an issue out of town, but just too hairy in town, and a bike has to live in the real world.
Oh, and that ridiculous tank range! Rolling Eyes
Apart from that, it was a brilliant hooligan bike! Smile
