Hello all,
Not embarrassed to say that the bike has been away all winter and now the fair weather has returned I'm getting the bike ready to get back out on.
The forks have small rusty blemishes
Unsafe? can anyone give me some guidance?
Thanks in advance |

Not 'unsafe' but very carefully rub the forks with some 1200 wet & dry just to remove any high spots. Providing seals aren't leaking oil bike is fine to use. May get picked up at mot time as an advisory though. May even polish out with some Solvol or other chrome polishes _________________ Just call me Waki. |

I would try solvol first and next time you lay the bike up in winter wipe some oil over the forks. _________________ If it aint broke don't fix it |

Much better now. Still tiny marks if you look really hard but feels smooth to the touch. |
