It'll only do it once the revs drop below 2000 mind so I only do it if I'm slowing down. _________________

Sorry m8 that's bollox.... clutchless down shifts are ok... just take a little more practise to get dead right... bad downshifts prob knacker the selectors....
Down shifting blipping the throttle and doing the tea pot past yer m8s really hacks them off... _________________ Viva Rossi - The Champion of choice! |

Clutchless upshifts are something I've been doing over the last year or so, especially after talking to others on this site.
Love 'em!
Although not totally clutchless, I level out the revs and just take the lever in a tad and snick up a gear.
I thought clutchless downshifts were a no-no - bad for the gear box.
So tell me more f1reblade! _________________ Adventure before dementia. |

Never from 1st to 2nd, too snatchy as Chilli said. Other than that all the time if hooning it. If really hooning then keep throttle pinned and a quick off/on of the kill switch as I change up. Don't normally downshift as I don't find it as smooth as clutched. _________________ The lunatics have finally taken over the asylum |

I never downshift without the clutch - mainly as I was advised not to on a track day by an instructor. Didn't enquire as to the reasoning, just obeyed orders! _________________ Don't wait for your ship to come in .. torpedo it out of the water and move on to the next target |
