just got a text from Helen (thumper) who's up at Brands doing a full day
said weather is fab but been lots of crashes and there's a bit of a slippy patch heading into Graham Hill as a result
hope they clean that up properly before we get there!

Just finished eating after I got home from this. What can I say?
Brilliant fun as always. Couple of moments from our gang but I'll let them tell Their own lies. Laughing My only moment was coming out of clearways in the last session when I somehow (Over exuberance I suspect) managed to spin up the rear tyre!! Shocked No drama, just a twitch and I kept the throttle pinned Very Happy Must apologise to Inci though 'cos it fecked up his carefully planned overtaking maneuvre (not me, some first timer i think) Embarrassed
Really must replace my tyres soon
Sad

well my 1st track day 1st session had front wheel slide where tyres not up to tempiture caused a brown trouser moment. took rest of session nice and easy found it hard to get in the flow.2nd session went better but still well of the pace of the others. 3rd session was going nicely untill missed a gear going in to a corner panick struck looked up rear wheel and went off road making my way back to pits session was red flaged so did, ernt miss much. thought it was finished ripped off tape only to miss a 10 min session. all in all i enjoyed it wish i had done a school first but found other riders gave me plenty of room a couple even let me past them very nice people Laughing

Well, my first attendance (spectating) at a track day and I am well impressed. All the riders seemed to be going a lot quicker and smoother than I would Embarrassed .

Well done all Boxhillers out on track, especially first timer Lost. You seemed OK to me, just lacking confidence perhaps? Chuff looked very professional in his preparation, and was magnificent out on track.

It has certainly given me the urge Shocked (feel free you spammers). Time to save up for next year Smile .

Great entertainment, followed by a bit of socialising at the Pluff. Perfick Very Happy.

great evening again despite the 2 minor moments
mikey stopping at the service station on clearways and Lost deciding he needed some gravel !
glad everyone was fine though
wildman's spin up nearly caused the yellow jacket rider to take me off at clearways!!!
got quicker and quicker as day went on by session 4 was really happy with what i was doing even managed to get some good lines through clearways!

Huge dilema now as I got on so much better with the R6 then I did with the SV so not sure what to do about that yet
]

Note to Shaz:
Graham Hill 2nd gear and nail it
Surtees 3rd gear and just fekkin hoon it

Razz Razz Razz Razz

Wink

here's to Silverstone next week

Thanks to those that came down to watch. Sorry I did not make the plough but I think you could all tell I was shattered.

You might want to consider some faster tyres so you do not get overtaken. Laughing

Thanks to all the peeps that came to watch and really helped make a party of it. As Chuffster says always, it really is appreciated.

You may have spotted the odd bead of sweat on my brow, hence the going home rather than a pint.
