Not so much pissed off as sad to see my old faithful taliban taxi taken away for scrap. On the plus side, I made a charity donation of it through "Giveacar" http://www.giveacar.co.uk _________________

Had my amex card details used by someone online to spend £1300, good job I don't have to pay it, just a pain having to have a new card. Last time my card details were used was 2006 when we had a little action on here with legal action being threatened, eh Biggus ? _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

Can we have a 'Really Fu**ing Pissed Off' thread just for me !! Cold start only problem on Tuono could be ECU. Only on '06 models though....now let me see.....oh yeah guess what mine is ???? Have a few things to try but not looking good. New ECU.....£1800 FFS !
Do have a contact for a guy that can repair unit if possible for £350 +. Loads on e-bay but all for RSV which has different part number.
I swear this bikes gonna break me ! _________________ Just call me Waki. |

Tuono is just a naked RSV right so shouldn't it work just fine? _________________ The Resident Forum Ghost |

you'd think in theory, however (i think) they are geared for different top speeds therefore I suspect the ECU is running a different firmware/map _________________

Having ridden both I would say this is correct.
They certainly ride very differently. _________________ So many roads, so little time. |

There are three part numbers listed for the Tuono. 266531 is the original one that i have with fueling issues......266532 is the quick fix and 266533 is the latest map and the one to have. NONE appear on e-bay. I'm being advised at the moment by a guy who works for Aprilia and we're currently working though possible causes. Thanks to Markey Mark for putting him in contact. _________________ Just call me Waki. |

I think my speed was outside the parameters under which they would offer a speed awareness course... shot me from nearly 500 feet with the hair drier . Put it this way, I am grateful for 3 points as it could have been a lot worse, your honour.... _________________

WPMOT: Well yesterday, the pair of dickless cockbags (R6 & Fireblade) who followed me through Redhill & Reigate yesterday and then went past me at 50+ in the 30 past Reigate station and proceeded to carve up other traffic, to "get ahead"... then only to be passed by me three times (not breaking the 30 & 40 & 50 limits) "straightline heroes". Clearly being passed by a 15 year old Pan European & not being able to get anywherer near on the corners was that offensive that they had to "prove the point" by going past me at silly speeds in a straight line.
I hate this time of year because there are so many nobheads coming out of hibernation. _________________
