I'm looking into fitting an Akrapovic can to the yam.
The thing is, I use my bike as my main form of transport to commute.
I have to leave for work at 5:30am and I like to give the bike at least 5 mins to warm up in the morning.

The only thing is I dont want to piss the neighbours off with the louder can.
But at the same time, I WANT this can

What would you do?

The akra isn't really that loud on tickover/low revs, so I'd say yes fit an Akra.

My Micron is loudish but not /that/ loud and I manage to start the bike and leave to run for a few minutes at 7:30/8:00 AM every morning and have never had any complaints, but sometimes I do like to leave it on full choke whilst I put my helmet and gloves on, just to piss them off

Akra would be ideal, anything else and it's getting a bit loud on tickover (i.e micron, blue flame, ART etc..)

Wot?....Sorry?.........YOU'LL HAVE TO SPEAK UP.................

I'm firmly of the opinion that the majority of car drivers need every possible help in working out how not to hit you - and nice pipes can help scare the crap outta some of them Twisted Evil

4-2-4 underseat Blue Flame's MV style is what I'm after for the Zed. Got a Venom on the FZR which is pretty loud and makes a nice burble on the over-run.

For the R6 I'd go for a nice carbon Akropovic. IXIL do a nice tri-oval for the R6 too, then theres Yoshi of course, I could go on forever here but my only answer will be RACE CAN!!!!

Well I dont like understeat systems (Unless its Italian), Can't stand the look of carbon. Anodised certainly is not my cuppa and Akras are gorgeous.

I want a nice exhaust tone, but nothing to harsh like a D&D.

Looks likes its going to be a Titanium slip on.....when I can find the dosh.
