Hi all,
It continues, can't really help myself. I'm converting to a single seater, what with scaring pillions and all (seeing a grown man cry is not a pretty sight), so to match the Harris hanger, I think I'll purchase some Harris 'sets.
Trouble is, I'm not sure which to opt for. Usually, I'd steer well away from coloured anodising, but funnily enough, these seem to look quite good with my other bling bits.
So the jury's out - which to go for?
Of course, I'd be keeping the standard items. |

Gold is way too tacky. Silver/plain would be my choice. Would blend in nicely with the rest of the bike.
Just as an after though, has anyone ever told you what a complete and utter tart you are? Just wondered like _________________ The lunatics have finally taken over the asylum |

Nnnnnn...yyes.
I think I've become a slight tart. Hopefully not a full blown slapper or street corner minger, but I guess I am a tart
I think the polished would be more in keeping with the bike, it depends whether it looks better with attention drawn to that part of the bike, or it to be a detail that requires more subtle recognition. |

Coloured anodising always looks tacky... Polished is the way forward... IMHO! _________________ Viva Rossi - The Champion of choice! |

Bike's ridden when the weather's good - to daily commutes to weekend blasts to sunny evening pub visits inbetween. For other weather conditions, it remains tucked up in the garage, I've vouched never to let the bike see rain again. Always going to be that way, will be looking for a more permenant second bike to run around on.
Anyway, polished seems to be the order of the day, I guess it'll remain standard-looking at first glance instead of them being a focal point to the bike. I'll live with that - besides, polished items are £15 cheaper.
Thanks for the opinions. |

I always prefer my bike to look totally stock at first glance, but for people to see wise and tasteful modifications (not modded - I never have painted a target on my back ) - Ballo's GSXR is great example of this.... a cracking bike.... With a new front mudguard! _________________ Viva Rossi - The Champion of choice! |

Really kind of you Dave, although I think I have spoilt it today by putting on blue rim tape.
PS I hope you are mending quickly. |

Cheers Marc, feeling much like my old self again... watch out world ...
I was thinking of getting some rim tape for the new blade...you got any pics?
Really I would aspire to have a bike as tastefully sorted as yours.... Hmmm may be stealing some of your ideas in future _________________ Viva Rossi - The Champion of choice! |

New pic added under pride and joy of my bike with added bling (i.e. rim tape).
I am still not sure about it, but received a couple of positive comments today, so may keep it. |

Just checked out your new pics Baloo....
I like it. Your bike is SO understated, a little bling works fine... But don't go buying that gold medalion OK
I've said it before, I think your bike is a brilliant example of tasteful modification.... Its the bench mark and the inspiration I will use to "sort out" my new arrival _________________ Viva Rossi - The Champion of choice! |
