right...

calmed down a bit

apologies for the comments...

was driving along a main road at 30mph, when i see a car waiting to pull out from my left, so i slow down further. he doesnt see me, pulls straight into my path. i brake and swerve, cant swerve too much otherwise ill go straight into oncoming traffic. he doesnt stop in time, and he goes slap bang into the side of me. i smash his nearside headlight and scratch the bumper thats about it.

ive luckily suffered no damage, very lucky not to have a broken leg or even to have come off etc, but the bike has suffered cosmetic damage along the left hand side.

i feel embarassed more than anything, as im sure there are people out there saying...oh steve has got a bike thats a bit too powerful for him...or similar.
well bollox, cus i was doing 30 and i havent even reached the full potential of the revs yet.

and, i know im waffling, but its early hours... hes admitted full liability, although this will probably change aftre speaking to his insurers, and the independant witness owns a sprint st!!

anyway, rant over, bike has gone to get an estimate, and is still rideable, so ill be out tomorrow enjoying the sun before my nightshift.

this little incident hasnt phased me which is weird, as i think it should have done.
probably cus im resting easy in the knowledge that it was completly not my fault, and it was low speed etc. could have been much worse

over and out! finally (!)

glad to hear your ok steve
firstly well done for staying on the bike, secondly i agree bolox to what anyone says ....you got it right.......... you could so easily have paniced and hit oncoming vehicles (much worse).
finally .............i reckon it may not have phased you but ill have a pound to a penny its planted something into your mind about cars at side turnings (and thats not saying you wasnt already cautious of them).
Hope the claim goes smoothly.

My scanner sliding off the back of my puter last night, wrenching the only mouse and keyboard in the house that worked properly out of the sockets, so now having to use my wireless ones that only work intermittently and eat batteries at the rate of 4 a day.

Not sleeping well last night, waking up grumpy (me, not the person I sleep with Razz ) finding a text message from my mate who was riding up to Gems with me, saying shes asked a bloke along that I can't stand, so I spat the dummy and called it off. Now sitting at home feeling stupid Sad
