Another E-bay user -grrr :
"Hi there,
I've just succuessfully bid for your US robotics modem and have just come to reliase two things that:
a) you do not accept paypal, which is the only way i am able to pay (i thought you could always pay via paypal)
b) i think you have made a mistake in the postage price of £6, Royal mail standard postage deliveray isnt going to cost more than £3 for an item that size/weight.
Thankyou for your time, my apologies for not noticing these issues before the auction closed, nether-the-less i hope we can come to an agreement on the above.
Yours faithfully
Doug"
and my reply is:
"Doug
Thank you for your email. Please would you have another look at the listing. It clearly states that the postage cost will be £6 in total and it will be sent using royal mail parcels. This is how much it will cost me to package it up, take it to the post office and send it. The weight of the whole parcel is heavier than you might expect because of the weight of the power supply. I wish I could send it for £3 but I can't and I do not understand where you got that figure from as even the smallest parcel costs more than that in postage alone.
http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=23500714&mediaId=23500721
As for the paypal issue, my listing also clearly states that the payment methods available are cheque or postal order. I see from your feedback that you have sent a cheque to a seller in the past. I do not mind whether you send a cheque or a postal order but I do not accept paypal.
I look foward to receiving your payment of £7.99 soon by cheque or postal order.
Regards
Tracey" |

And he whinged because he was getting a modem for the outrageous price of £7.99? What a plonker!
I had a prob with an e-bay user who was a bit 'optimistic' in his description of an item that cost £10 with £7 postage. He offered a refund of the £10 but only if I posted it back to him - so I would be out of pocket by £14 with nothing to show for it, he'd not be out of pocket at all and would still have the item he could sell. So when I gave negative feedback, he then gave ME negative for complaining about his description when I'd paid promptly and in full. What a ... well you fill in the blank. |

I would expect that had it been on the ride out then more than one person would have been caught unless muffin was playin catch up but 36mph in a 30 does not suggest this at all.
id have to go with on the way back maybe bad luck muffin |

Course ChoccieMuffin didn't think it was 40, that would be admitting to riding without due care and attention......... _________________ Its better to regret something you did rather than something you didnt do... |

I was always told 10% + 3 for speeding... so that's right on the limit of error i would have thought...
if it's a camera... they haven't come round and cautioned you for the offence... wonder how that guy's getting on with his european court case.... _________________

Dunno about the +3, could well be +2, I've read that in other places. As for whether the NIP case in the ECHR has concluded, I'm on PePiPoo.com and if anyone would know whether it's been concluded, they would. And there's nothing I've found on there yet. Anyway, I have a strategy to take. Still could've done without it. |
