At least you've got some!! I ordered 50 packing boxes on Wednesday on flea bay that were supposed to be next-day-delivery and they haven't arrived yet and I wanted to make a (slow) start this weekend Sad

Eating their own poo is not necessarily a sign of mistreatment or not being fed. One of my dogs did this for a while when he was young. We don't know why as he was being fed plenty but they can be trained out of it by the owner clearing up the poo as soon as the dog does it.

Dogs are opportunistic eaters, which stems from their roots as scavengers and will eat whatever food they can find. I know that mine would polish off cat food or anything else vaguely edible if they came across it even if they had just eaten. A friend of mine had one of her dogs break into the freezer and eat a whole frozen loaf!!! Afterwards the dog was so bloated that she didn't eat anything else for over a day. This dog was definitely not mistreated in any way and was very well fed so did not need the extra food but ate it because she managed to get hold of it.

If you think the dog is being mistreated look for other signs such as ribs and spine being very visable, overgrown claws, matted or dirty coat and bald patches on the coat from chewing. If you see evidence of these then definitely call the RSPCA asap but from what you have seen so far I doubt they would be able to take any action.

My dads dog being put down yesterday, i had to go with my dad to the vets, the dog was 19, blind, deaf, arthritic and had a heart murmur, i know it was the right thing to do.

My dad did not want to be with the dog when it was put to sleep, neither did, i but i could not leave him alone, i said to myself you sat with mum when she died, nothing can be as bad at that, so i took a deep breath and bit my lip and held the dog as the vet administered the injection.

Rest in peace Bo Dog

Pete i don't know the whole story, but i do think you are being a bit harsh on your son, and that too will have a knock on effect on Jen, your boy quite obviously needs help and lets hope he is now getting it.

I am sure you will be feeling as every bit worried as i am sure Jen is, by being Mr tough/strong does not always have the desired effect of support.

I'm not sure that reads as i want it to.. but what the hell here's hoping it all works out Hug

he is a staffy and extremely skinny when he ran into my house he ran straight to my kitchen and ate my cats food like he hadnt eaten in a year, all very well leaving dogs out but he has no kennel or shelter. They were made to get rid of their dog last year and banned from having pets.

Sorry to hear that. You definitely did the right thing for the dog even if it was hard.

Then you have the answer - call them as soon as convenient and report them for having pets again. Surely the dog deserves better.

Yes, I have a Mac - but at least I don't run around in the park in it after dark!

Maybe it's not getting enough of a charge as it's only a two mile journey.

Probably new battery time. We'll look on David Silver Spares or Wemoto for you.

Thanks!

The bobbert thinks it's the battery, so he's ordering one tonight...if it's the rectifier...I should have a usable one on my old bike...

Sorry to hear that Matt. It would p*$$ me off big time too if someone did that to my car. It was bad enough having someone throw an egg at it which took some of the paintwork off and made a dent in the car.
