Not so much pi**ed off but a bit sad! , saw a dog that had been hit by a car on the A27 by Hollingbury today! Me and RR filtered through a traffic jam earlier to find a poor dog on the side of the road with the traffic police tending to.
One thing I must say i was impressed to see the plod showing compassion to the poor thing and comforting the dog at the side of the road.
It was obviously someones beloved pet and I for one would have been grateful if it had of been mine to know that it was cared for in that situation.

I saw exactly the same thing yesterday on the A3 at the M25 junction. Good job Mike was driving as I was for ages afterwards.
Why oh why oh why can't people restrain their dogs in the car so that they can't get out of an open window or door?? A cage, seatbelt harness or dog guard will do the trick. |

The local dump-
Took a load of stuff there since washing machine and dishwasher decided to give up the ghost.
Had an old tyre off of the bike, took it out of the boot and was told "We don't take tyres"
I asked him if it was a dump,
"yes" he replied,
"well i want to dump it here",
"no we cannot accept tyres"
"But you do accept fridges, used oil etc etc".
"Yes, but not tyres"
What a joke, i always wondered why people fly tipped tyres. Oh well its back home until i get the next bike tyre done where i will no doubt pay a charge for someone to go and put it in a field somewhere! _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

there are VERY specific rules when it comes to disposing of tyres, we have to be registered then get them collected by a firm in Worthing, but we only charge the customers what we get charged which is £1 + VAT per tyre
they get recycled properly _________________ The Stevie Wonder of rideouts!

I appreciate that Craig, but when you see the amount dumped around our area especially the Wifes stables it,s a joke and must cost more in the Council coming out to collect them than it would to make a seperate bin to put them in from MOP's. _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

private firms only, the council don't have the gear to recycle tyres, dumping them is so bad though _________________ The Stevie Wonder of rideouts!

Our Dump takes Tyres, quite funny, it says on the bin, 'only two tyres per household'. _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |

Tyres are extremely environmentally unfriendly. I believe there is only a couple of things you can do with them. Shred them and use the stuff in childrens playgrounds or doing nothing with them and using them to line landfill tips. I believe they pretty much never degrade. Wandsworth tip used to take them but at 50p a go. That is the reason they are fly tipped so much. _________________ "Those who understand compound interest are destined to collect it.
