Parked up in B&Q's car park in Crawley. Came out 30 minutes later to find the car had been vandalised. Reckon it was the feckin shifty, pikey looking scumbag that was parked next to me in exactly the same make & model of car (its an import) Evil or Very Mad

Just found out that the spare place on our trip has been filled, that means i'm back to sharing a room (as it was my roomy that had to pull out).

So:

One - i'm now having to share with Duncans stinking feet (as he admitted too)
Two - As i was going to have to have a room on my own it was going to be a bit of a -fest.

But, got to look on the bright side, at least Duncan can do something about one of the issues........................and he can also wash his feet.

I arrived at school to pick up small person, exhaust is blowing like, well pick someone and that's what it's blowing like. Looks at brief glimpse like it might have failed where the last one did, at the frong bit where it comes out of the engine.

In addition, with all the added vibration (ooer missus!) the flipping pillion footpeg managed to vibrate itself off, so small person was on the bike illegally as she only had one footpeg for her tootsies.

I'm getting a bit peed off with this bike now. I know I should do more maintenance tasks on it, but I don't think I've ever had more than about 4 weeks when I haven't been bugged by the bloody exhaust. Thinking of having a change but don't know what to look for. Can't afford a fortune (can't really afford ANYTHING but hey) so I might end up just riding with a blowing exhaust for a bit longer.

Does mean unless I can get hold of a footpeg, and the bolt which also holds another bit of exhaust on, that I won't be able to go out to play with other half and his new toy.

Thing is, the exhaust is a real weak link on that bike, so the only solution I can see is to get an aftermarket stainless one, which will cost about £400 (plus, of course, the cost of a new footpeg...) I won't have a problem fitting the thing though, as I've had the exhaust off that bleedin' bike so many times already.

Sorry that this is not really the appropriate thread for this reply but there isnt a separate one for this topic i don't think.

If you have taken the exhaust off a few times have you put a new exhaust gasket on?

well im just waiting for the insurance people to confirm that they wont bother with repairs and then see what they say. Will most likely be able to buy it back, just have to wait and see what the final verdict is as to whether or not it will be worth it for me
