The assessments are not tests. I assess people in hospitals and nursing homes.
I wasn't able to do them. I couldn't face making the decisions. Palpitations, cold sweats the lot. Have been doing them for years till I went off sick. Feel completely useless.

Haven't been in this thread for a while, so really sorry to hear everyone's bad news and things that have annoyed them.

Mine today - been told I can't do any running.

I started a 'keep fit' program in Feb and have lost a bit of weight and had toned up. I'd just started running (instead of walking briskly) when I got knocked off my bike. Due to minor injuries I was unable to exercise but have still managed to keep my weight down (just). Have started exercising again but have had problems and am seeing a physio (as recommended by the Medical Examiner for the insurance company).

Told that my ankle problem is similar to a shin splint injury and not to run. Sad

Back to the ski-walker but it's making a mess of the carpet with black gunge.

I've been off work twice in the last 5 years now with illness triggered by stress/exhaustion from work. The first episode lasted 9 months and this one lasted 3 months - got back to work part-time in Feb and am now full-time again but as usual working longer hours than I should because of workload and because I feel guilty for having the time off.

I feel useless because I've succumbed when other people are busy etc and are okay. Having said that it doesn't help when someone opposite me constantly complains that they haven't got work to do or that the office is quiet and they want to chat. It's quiet because everyone else is busy and trying to concentrate on their work FFS! ( Embarrassed sorry bit of a rant there.)

Anyway, I'm great at offering advice to other people about stress - don't do what I do! Laughing

Take it easy and ease back into work and just do what you can cope with. If it gets to you go home. Smile

Just got a phone call from them saying that the tickets had just arrived and they could courier them to me.....I asked for a refund......I can only hope I may see some of my money back

Don't be hard on yourself! Many people are not as OK as they seem.

Good advice Suzibabe, thanks.

Stress and depression and anxiety are like tht. They are disabling at the time, and the sufferer usually feels guilty (I know I did/do).

gotta think it out, and try again!
