Surprisingly enough the first thing I didn't do was ask to see his test report.
For any who wish to check the information, I would think it'd be on the DVLA or DSA web site. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. The objective is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck.

Who does need 'em?
The friend who first raised the point passed his test about a year ago, so fairly recent. I'm not sure when the other two who agreed with him passed theirs. It could be that they all did their test at the same centre and all the instructors a that test centre had been misinformed, or they all got the same instructor and the instructor was misinformed, or it could be they all have the wrong end of the stick.
I think the point I was trying to get across with the original post was that I was irritated having heard that such happens. I wasn't expecting to be asked questions to which the answers were blindingly obvious, nor was I expecting to have my friends insulted.
Would you have preferred it if I had replied, "Oh yes, of COURSE I immediately asked him to go home, fish out his test report and bring it back for immediate perusal so that I could check whether he was talking out his arse or not." _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. I seem to recall Mike telling me when he learnt to drive (2000), or it might have been when he was doing his advanced driving, that the recommended way in a car is just to glance to your right or left to check your blind spot, not to look right over your shoulder. |

Not looking at all would be a driving error. Doing it three times would cause you to fail. I just don't understand which bit looking over your shoulder at the wrong time comes under.
It's not a hard question is it? |

Yes, so do I. I'm perfectly capable of doing my own oil changes on cage or bike, but choose not to because I CBA with the hazardous waste disposal. Besides, I don't get the consumables at much of a discount from Halfords or wherever so there's not a lot of cost savings in it anyhow.
But that's not true for the levers. Just ignorance & laziness on my part - ffs |

Just found out that a friend of mine failed his driving test because because he had the wrong colour shoes on.
It must be true because he told me so
