My new bike Sad

Took a half day off work to ride down to Suffolk and spend the weekend with family and riding roads I know well to get used to the bike. I get about 25 miles away and the power completely dies. Check the shoulder and coast over to the hard shoulder and BAAAMMMM cuts in again, ok off we go, couple hundred yards later, dead. Pull over to hard shoulder, nothing apart from horrible electric clicking noise on trying to restart.

it wont even turn over, just horrible electric clicking. battery is dead.
After a bit of panicking it seems clear I've also run our of petrol, my bad but the light didn't come on and it's a new bike and I'm not sure of it's range.

I call out a local garage I know (in Ipswich) who recover me for £30, but they aint sure what the problem is. Could be battery, could be reg/rec, could be something else they mentioned that sounded expensive. Anyway, upshot is the bike is now say on an optimate in their workshop until tomorrow so they can see if the battery is taking a charge, to try and narrow what might be up. It it's not just the battery they can't do it this weekend which means I have to get a train back to Surrey and have no bike for a week.

Bunch of TOSS. I've only done about 120 miles on the fucking thing.

Is it sorted yet Question What was the problem Question

Fingers crossed it seems to be yeah. They put int on charge overnight and the battery still wasn't charged in the morning, so seemed the battery was knackered. Stuck a new battery on and so far it's been fine. Only cost me £105 including recovery too which I was fairly pleased with.

Chavvy little tarts with double buggies in Sutton... Surely not... Laughing . Boils my piss too when the seemingly accepted method of checking the road is clear is to thrust a pram into the road, especially from between parked cars! Confused

Laughing

I have had this for a number of years and it comes and goes. I take medication for it which normally works. This is also the first time for many months. Thankfully it has calmed down now, just leaving me with an almighty migraine type headache.

Thanks Fred, but hopping is not the answer!

Thanks GT and Windy.

Vodafone are the latest recipients of my WPMO award.

My blackberry stopped working due to water ingress Embarrassed

Apparantly it is not repairable. So how do we take this forward?

450 of your unearned quids will get you a new one or one can extend their contract from next April for another 12 months and it will be £ 80 for the basic blackberry. What about upgrading to an iPhone in January? No Sir that will not be possible.

£ 171 later, I have cancelled my contract with Vodafone and collected a nice 32bg iPhone from O2. Sorted. Number swiches over at the weekend.

unfortunately, there's a French company in between us and the merrycans which makes matters even more 'interesting' bring back the good old days when we were allowed contact directly with the manufacturer rather than through the lazy French wankers - the self-styled european 'master distributor' utter tosspots.

Ford Fuckus drivers that indicate right at Mini RAB's so when you move left for the pass through they then turn left and wonder why they get a handful of the horn.

Will find out for sure in time Pete. Thoughts were....water in tank found it's way into carbs when tipped over...to....pulling choke on when picking bike up which in turn fouled plugs on run home. Alas none of the above Crying or Very sad Was ok from Boxhill to Cobham then started to run rough.
