Snow Chains Bought them last year for when i took the car to La Thuile in Italy, we went skiing but did not need them as the roads were clear even upto the resort!
So today i had to use them to get the car out of the stable yard and onto the main road. £18 from ebay - bargain!! _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

Getting through in my trusty taliban taxi where others failed miserably inspite of being in 4x4s or 'ultimate driving machines'. Took me over an hour to get home though thanks to knobheads in transits planting their vans into ditches , one of these (a Sky van) had decided to overtake me 2 mins before... Cue smug grin and wave as i drove by _________________

Going from 18C and sunny when I left CA yesterday to sitting in my living room with a cuppa, watching the snow come down - fantastic!!!
Best of all, I was supposed to deliver a presentation this morning at 10AM, jetlag and all. Checked my messages upon arrival at LHR and found it's been rescheduled for next week. Woohooo!!! _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

Ta, GT - it's lovely to be home. Especially since I get to work from home for the remainder of the week guilt-free, thanks to all the snow!
As for me being mad, surely that's not news, is it?
In all seriousness though, constant sunshine is boring. Truly. I love the change of seasons and watching snow fall - beautiful. Snow angels, anyone? _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

That's right - HCMS is a snow angel afficionado too!!! And he only lives a couple miles down the road from me... Perhaps I'll call & arrange a play date _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

He must have snow now, cos there's loads of the stuff at my house and more coming down all the time - and he's less than 5 miles away from me _________________ "Take advantage of her being in a wheelchair while you can, mate - 'cos that's the only time you'll be able to push her around!" -Barry H |

He was so desperate for snow last night he was going to come and dig my place out.
Mind you, he didn't so I had to do it this morning _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!
