Surprised you didn't just stretch some rubber bands around it _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

It was a temptation, as was taking them off the rims and putting woodscrews through from the inside _________________

Then you remembered you had used all of your rubber bands and wood screws fixing the clutch? _________________ It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes. - Douglas Adams.

Leaving for work at 5 this morning, it was probably the coldest I have ever experienced in this country, the side roads were unbelievably bad as they hadn't been driven on at all. But, I saw a scooter and then a bloke on a pushbike It did make me chuckle......nutters |

Getting an email from an American customer who is a health and safety officer and noticing just after his signature the following:
Before starting any task answer 3 questions -
1. What will I be doing?
2. What hazards are present and what is the worst thing that can happen to me?
3. How will I eliminate or reduce my risk?
Wondering if I should be a cock and complete his questions with motorcycling in mind!
1. What will I be doing?
Riding my motorcycle
2. What hazards are present and what is the worst thing that can happen to me?
Everything, I could damage my little toe on a passing duck
3. How will I eliminate or reduce my risk?
Dismount, close the garage doors and lock myself in the bathroom
OR NOT
Have a safe day _________________ It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes. - Douglas Adams.

The inlet Manifold to my little banger cracking due to the cold weather.
Made me look at getting a new car coz of the repair cost.
The scrappage scheme date has been extended to include cars registered before 29/02/2000 mine was on the 4th Feb 2000.
Thanks very much i bought the car for £1250 4 years ago in feb and i've just been given £2k for it. I have had to change the battery and one cv boot in that time _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

Aye.... really must get round to scrappaging the Taliban Taxi... But it's such a reliable car, and I WILL be disappointed with anything that follows it.
I was given the car in 2002 with 47,000 miles on it (it's now on 170k!!!). It was a company car, however, the guy who had it emigrated to marry a lesbian in the USA (obv he didn't know she was a todger dodger when he married her)
Sum total of monies spent on ye olde TT (ignoring "consumables"):
Clutch @ 50k miles £200 if i remember rightly
Starter motor @ 100k miles £80 - the clutch on this started sticking and i could not be arsed to strip it and fix it
Distributor @ 150k miles £100
Drive Shaft @ 169k miles £250
Needs a clutch again now (fitting sat with the aid of MM) 120k miles out of a clutch aint bad really.
I've been through a lot with that car - had it longer than any of my bikes... it's been through a few girlfriends too . FFS I was married when I got the car
It's been used to carry ridiulous loads (I mean apart from me) - 6 8 ft concrete fence posts and 8 bags of postcrete, plus 3 people
It's been thrashed, crashed, and generally unloved, yet remains pretty reliable. I have had 8 years & 125,000 miles of pretty trouble free motoring. And people wonder why Rover went under!
Apart from just transport, it's been somewhere to sleep, shag, eat, drink for 8 years, I'll be sad to see it go when it does finally go to Nissan Heaven. I might even shed a tear _________________
