That happened to me this morning, but on a roundabout. Looked me in the eye then pulled out in front of me, followed by a lengthy discussion in sign language. _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. Don't know he never actually stopped me, but i was doing about 65 on the A3 Mew Malden junction (50 limit)
Just hoping he was pointing it at somebody else but if he did get me ... i have only myself to blame
i am not sure if i was over the limit for one of those courses _________________

Fingers crossed eh.... How many times have you text me to warn me about them milking the cash cow on the A3?!?!!

Don't bank on that, they do not have to offer it, I think it's random, and only if within their "tolerance" so don't get the 'ump if the it comes back with a ticket for 56 and you don't get offered a speed awareness course...
You might be lucky if your speedo is overly optimistic - I had a fiesta once that read 80 but in reality was so far out that it was more like 62! Again, don't bank on that. _________________

I am usually so careful along there, this one was in the layby with a gun, not the usual van on the green
When i hit the breaks and looked down i was doing 70 and i know my speedo is over so i am hoping i was at 65 *fingers crossed*
It's my own fault, if i can't do the "time" i should not have done the "crime"
I am hoping my speeding angel was looking after me _________________

As biggus said, they don't have to offer the course.
Also I thought it was only offered if you are only a few mph over the limit, so in your case it wouldn't be?
Was it a fixed camera or a speedgun?
If it was a speedgun and you were not stopped then you should be safe.... |

It was a speed gun .... i was surprised to see it where it was, as there is nowhere to stop anybody there usually a bit further down there is a camera van. _________________

Bugger, glad you're mostly ok. Did you report it? I know of more than one case where some twat has later claimed for whiplash where they were at fault and drove off
Worth a 5 minute call, even more so if you happened to get their registration number. _________________

Have not heard about them being used in the Met Tusky but i did see one in Hampshire on a bike.
If he was next to a car its normally a case of ping you and then jump in car and stop you a tad further on, sounds like you'll be ok to me, if it was in the Met! _________________ Speed Limits are Minimums and remember Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one

Facebook.
And kids having conversations on facebook that someone unknown prints out and uses to get the kids into trouble.
When we were kids, we had a whinge and a moan to our friends in an unrecorded conversation in the playground and that was that. Nowadays, if you write it it's preserved forever, so those things you say and do are never allowed to fade.
Nothing majorly serious, but also very worrying that someone (an anonymous adult) would bother to print out a conversation between two pre-teens and deliver it so that the kids get into trouble. Pathetic. And not a little bit sinister too.
So don't try to get me on Facebook, I don't "do" facebook. |

Nearly taken out on my way home from work, car pulled out in front of me. Cycle has two lights on the front, also a light on my helmet and I wear a hi-viz jacket. Can't see how all this makes me invisable ? _________________ It's all down to quality of life ! |
