I was rather glad you were able to help out too - thank you!
WMMST: the Mighty Athos and Slapster stuffing their faces with spag bol, garlic bread, and banoffee pie (on separate plates, obviously) after helping move my garden shed; and afterwards changing my fork oil... and pointing out about 8 million other things which needed fixing on my bandit
Have to say I had a slightly quieter giggle when emptying the old fork oil and finding two bloody great washers in the bottom of the bucket... cue the rapid undoing of several bolts and the reassembly of my front forks
was a great day, I have run out of coffee, and Athos and I got to play at being brolly dollies for Slappy too! Thanks both for all your help today - and thanks Bitch for letting me borrow them.x _________________ An open mouth is a straight line to the mind.

What made me smile today... Taking my cousin out on the bike, first time she's been to rykas on a Sunday, probably the first time She's been there full stop. Big thanks to pjst for the loan of the textiles, you made someone very happy! Although I'd have been happier had she not tried to stand the bike up mid corner on buckland bends _________________

Shoulda been on a Hornet, she'd have cornered better.
WMMST:
Taking a mate for a run on the back of the bike, short afternoon blat with a stop in Windsor to use a Gourmet Burger voucher kindly donated to the forum by Windy. He reckoned it was the best burger he'd ever had. T'was his bday pressie from me, though he still paid half the petrol.
Shame the road surfaces are so crap, but some really nice technical roads...ones he'll be able to keep up on when he gets done rebuilding a 125 and does his CBT too...seeing as most the time going above 80 down there is plain suicidal.
Also, giving the chain a good clean and putting some of that Muc-Off dry lube on it. Will see how it goes compared to the wax I normally use. Ta Andy and sis for the bike cleaner stuff as xmas pressie! _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. Doing an impromptu 100 mile bimble/hoon to test out my new helmet with Madam and finding some new roads (to me) with great views and lots of technical bends for future rideouts _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

Lead a rideout today for Helen (who got lost) and some of her friends from Londonbikers. During the ride, however, one of the guys came off his bike on a tight right hand bend. Funny thing was after he hit the muddy bank around the outside, and came off, the bike carried on up the road and parked itself, upright, against said bank ! Apart from a few clumps of mud, both bike and rider were unmarked. _________________ Just call me Waki. |

This made me laugh...
When I was heading from Windsor to Twyford on the B3024 (nice technical road), a bike I nodded to whilst I was stuck behind a car nodded back to me. Anyway, chatting to mother dearest earlier, talking about ride outs today...she mentioned she'd gone for a little bimble this afternoon down the B3024 (coming the other way to me). Turns out the bike I nodded was my mother.
She said she thought she recognised me (bike and crash hat), but wasn't sure because I was 2 up and she thought I was off on a boxhill run, not pottering round Windsor. Just fkn amazing!! _________________ You start the game of life with a full pot o' luck and an empty pot o' experience. Slappy would remember that road from when I did a rideout to Oxfordshire a few years back.... he had a few slides with Jen on the back and Tony would remember it because he did 400 miles that day
Oh and if he doesn't remember the slides, he will remember the food poisoning he got from the lunchtime mussels _________________ Boxhill Chippendales
