This guy has had 10 plus years of track days, 20ish each year, without any major offs. In the last 8 months, two bike write offs and now this. One wife and two young kids at home.

WPMOT .....GSX is off the road ......sprocket carrier bearing has decided to disintegrate....
Noticed the other day a graunching noise ...thought it was coming from the front sprocket and suspected maybe a tight spot on the chain ...after playing about inspecting and lubing i got the mighty one to run his eye along it ....he said the sprocket looked like it was moving ..low and behold the whole thing was like a chipolata in a top hat ....took it apart and there really wasnt much left of the bearing with 4 of the ball bearings actually flattened to half a ball bearing .....
E-bay is ones friend |
