hmmm....exactly what hill rescue teams are there for.

The Coast Guard are there for a reason too Wink

Hopefully we will all never need to use the emergency services. However, I enjoyed yesterday, wrapping up warm and hiding away from all dangers is not for me.

Anyway, ffs it's only a bit of snow! Laughing

Not having a pop chap, but I rarely go out laning on my todd, even in good weather. A small tumble and a broken wrist could go from being a pain into a major balls ache in those conditions.

As for the analogy with the coast guard. I'd never plan a coastal trip if the weather was iffy. Its called planning....be safe

peace out

Walking across the snow covered fields from my house to the pub, roaring log fire, large Sunday lunch, meeting a couple of new people in the hamlet and a stroll back.

Plus this little sneak view of my house from the garden.

Being a good samaritan this morning. Whilst driving back from town along the back roads, I saw a man running / sliding / falling along the side of the road. Turns out he does not drive and was making a 12 mile walk / run to see someone.

For the first time ever in my life, I stopped to pick him up and gave him a lift most of the way there.

The roads really are shite and still people go out on their low profile sport tyres and get stuck. The A421 was blocked all due a Jag driver not being able to get up a mild but icy slope. FFS

What also amazed me was the drivers that stopped on the other side of the road to help, thereby blocking both directions. No-one got out of the cars on the Jag side of the road to help. Also the stupid bint kept getting out of the Jag to help push. Once it got going the driver had to stop to let her back in and guess what! Yup stuck again. There really are some stupid stupid people about.
