Only half was opening in the morning as it was custard; dried out pretty well in just a couple of hours. Top half of track was still pretty bad, got bogged down a couple of times. Stalled after a jump once and not a good place to be at the bottom with bikes flying round you. Brilliant day out, defo going again. The aching started yesterday, not exactly easy work!

Guess it's just practice, you use muscles you otherwise wouldn't!

I have to dislocate my shoulders to get in and out of mine Laughing

There is a knack and it will get easier as the leather becomes more supple

WMMST..: from my uncle in Austria Smile : 2000 years ago the Romans occupied Carnuntum on the River Danube. 19th June 2011 it was reoccupied by 1570 bikers who raised 50,000 €uros and donated over 2000 assorted toys for less fortunate children. Another super "Biker für Kinder!"

Managing to complete the ride - London to Brighton and no engine!

Had some problems with my knees and back during/after the ride, but I was right as rain on Monday.

Went to put my bike in the car on Saturday night and noticed it had a puncture - just from sitting around apparently - then noticed the sidewall had a small tear when I was repairing the puncture and had to wait till I got to Clapham Common at 5:30 to find a nice man in the Evans bike shop to sell me a new tyre and tube!

It was perfect for the ride and only when cycling the 3 miles home did I get a puncture! At which point I gave up and called the recovery wife out to pick me up.

Glad I did it - ONCE!!
