Are they a main dealer? Not heard of them or is it Hatfields you mean? |
Private garage in Sandhurst local to me
Would emphasize I would use SS but logistics makes it impractical _________________ "Deja Moo" the feeling you have heard this Bullshit before |

£158 labour, £45 for front brake pads, £ 65 VAT and £ 15 for a lost breather tube. |
I'm pretty sure your Porsche stealer robs you of even more come servicing time! |
It is not the intrinsic value that is the issue, just the relative cost (7% of current value!). Further the bike is a lot simpler in terms of engineering and access to things. |
So that's 2.5hours labour? Assuming it's a main dealer?
Main stealers are "locked" into fitting OE parts, also, A.N.Other Garage would not be charging £65 per hour, and would probably offer 3rd party pads (that probably come from the same factory) at £20-25 set and would cut a length of hose from a reel for the breather rather than get (or at least charge for) the specific Honda part. |
£41:00 PH (including VAT) is what Sandhurst are currently charging me and ask what parts I want where they are able to |
3.5hrs labour at £ 45 ph. Main Honda Dealer. That excludes labour to fit the breather tube! _________________ "My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. New pants moment on the way home.....riding well beyond my limit of vision and encountering a tree branch across the road. Nothing I could do but ride straight over it.
Hopefully the tyres will not have developed any slow punctures overnight ... and lessons learned about not playing silly buggers in the dark |

I only use EBC HH pads as I think they are about the best but they are dearer than Nissin, and if that's £45 for both front sets, that's a steal! _________________ It's not the speed of life that bothers me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

i stand corrected. I'm probably out of touch on pad costs as I've not bought any in a long time - I 'acquired' a job lot of oe pads for my Honda's for not a lot of money. _________________

That is because I only listed main items. There were oil, oil filter and air filter to. _________________ "My own opinion is enough for me, and I claim the right to have it defended against any consensus, any majority, anywhere, anyplace, anytime. This cold I have is pissing me off. That and the fact that I squirted Vick Sinex nasal spray in my right eye......oh fuck how it stung. Hitting my eye with it was a ferking minor miracle in itself looking at the size of nose that I've got! |

Why is is that when i ask a woman out there is always some B****d/ close by who sweeps them off their feet right in front of me. This is really beginning to fuck me off how many times this keeps happening. Fed up of playing by the rules and always coming off 2nd best.
Honestly i don't know what keeps me going, and why i bother anymore. I keep on missing something, don't know what it is. tired of being me, tired of continually fucking up and getting fucked over, sick of not having a clue whats going on all the time. Infact i really don't care and would rather be someone else. _________________ -------------------------------- |

Hit a Wood Pigeon at full whack this morning on the B2141.
For those that know that road, it's fast.
Fucking thing hit me on my chest and left arm and there was poo all over my bike. I got a big bruise coming up, will post a pic when it comes out.
If it had hit me anywhere else, I very much doubt I'd be here to tell the tale. _________________ I'd rather have a full bottle infront of me, than a full frontal Lobotomy |

Is that the bit where you can go at 59.9 MPH ?
Must admit suicidal wood pigeons and magpies is the one thing that puts me off 6:00am rides glad your OK..... even a bumble bee to the neck hurts at that speed _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

Yeh, i was doing exactly 59.9mph.....
There are plenty of 100mph+ corners on that road if you were so inclined.
I believe AJ christened the early runs 'Bunny runs' for that exact reason, suicidal wildlife. _________________ I'd rather have a full bottle infront of me, than a full frontal Lobotomy |

Went out to my bike this morning (intending to ride to Box to meet a mate) and found my rear tyre was flat.
I can't find a mark on it, but there was an odd looking "leak" from the rim. It looked like some oil (wasn't water) had leaked out of the tyre at the rim. Very odd, and maybe nothing to do with it.
It will hold enough pressure for me to get it to the shop I think but I have to try and get it done tomorrow as I'm back in Edinburgh for the week on Tuesday.
Have to phone the shop tomorrow and hope they have the right tyre at a not too extortionate price! _________________ Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window! |

Have calmed down a bit since Friday nights rant , still pretty fecked off.Had a lot of things going south lately and this pushed it abit too far this time. Have found a few things to do to chill out.
Admittedly the 06/07 zx10 is looking more attractive after that rant.. _________________ -------------------------------- |
