Certainly not pissed me off, but certainly saddened me. I have had people to stay or for lunch every weekend for the last 6-7 weeks. Half of those brought their children along. Usually we walked across the fields through the sheep and long grass to the pub for lunch on one day.

What has saddened me is to see so many young children who are scared of the countryside, the animals or just walking across a field.

One young fellow today did not even want to sit outside in the garden, let alone walk through a field, but rather indoors; and it was not heat related Sad

Do what I do, treat it for what it is, mainly a load of bollocks with the odd interesting/informative bit here and there.
Ignore the idiots, they're arseholes who really need to get a life.

+1.

If you react they just do more. Rolling Eyes so 2 choices; ignore completely or plant your own rumours and watch them gather momentum as others speculate (I go for option 2, so much more fun!!)

TBH, I can think of other ways to have fun without needing to start rumours.

Someone on here told me you're a lesbian Baloo! Is it true?

I agree with Barry, try to ignore it all (even though it's difficult). If your anything like me your secrets are far darker than their roumors!

Indeed Cool Smile
It is not difficult to ignore, but there was no "What did you find midly irksome today?" or "What did you find a tad tedious today?" thread to post in, hence the post here. It is also sad to see that some people have banal lives. Perhaps Corrie was cancelled that night. Very Happy

Wasn't it a clever idea of the Highways agency to put gravel on the central reservation of the M4. Someone has obviusly dozed off and driven onto it and there is now a nice spread in the outside lane, just you want on 2 wheels.

I've come to the conclusion that none of the various depts give a fig about 2 wheel users. The A25 from Wescott around to Gomshall has been resurfaced. Proper resurfaced as in billiard table smooth. Get through Gomshall and theres a 1/4 mile section that has been Surface Dressed with Tar and Chippings, or tar'd and feathered as I like to think of it. Yet the contactors haven't bothered to sweep the surface of excess chippings. There are patches of it where the chippings are a couple of inches deep. Its like riding on a gravel beach ffs.

Yeah I saw that the other day wft.... clearly that must be on the precious olympic route hey? no other reason Surrey would bother resurfacing. The "Surface dressing" past Gomshall is ridiculous, just hope they don't do it up the hill towards newlands Confused
