2 days out of 365 isn't bad. Didn't see many people moaning when they couldn't go to work or use the roads because of the snow last winter.....a bit of a Nimby'ish comment there tango. Would it be the same deal if it was a motorcycle road race?

Actually i think you will find a lot of people moaned about not being able to go to work. Also due to the fact that there isnt a motorcycle race to counter act the cycle race your point is invalid. Very Happy

I think the problem for Tango, and myself as it goes, is that a lot of main routes around our area are closed.
For example, there are 3 routes out of Byfleet where i live, and ALL 3 of them lead out to the same road....which is closed during the race!! I was in Cyprus when it happened last so not sure how they got around that one, but i hope that doesn't mean i get stuck in with 'er indoors' Shocked

We're also stuck in the middle. Just get outside and enjoy the spectacle, it doesn't happen very often!

Grounded - no motorcycling for me for the at the moment - very low platelet count - blunt trauma = potential to bleed to death jobbie - got a bollocking from the consultant for going to France the other weekend Sad. Bone Marrow aspiration and biopsy wiped the smile off my face although thankfully nothing proved wrong there. Looks like my immune system has gone bonkers after the bout of the Shingles virus I had last year - getting old is wonderful Laughing
