My ride on Sunday included the B2067 Tenterden- Lympne road. Parts of that were "improved" in the same way! Signs saying"20mph" are all very well, but even at 20mph a motorcycle or bicycle (yes, 20mph is reasonably easy on a bicycle) is at severe risk of calamity.

The 4 or more wheelers were certainly not keeping to 20mph either, resulting on clouds of dust and gravel. Niiiice. Another good road spoilt Twisted Evil .

Found that the 30amp fuse was blown (replaced it) and the rectifier went up in smoke Rolling Eyes

I've not had any problems with her until now...

would anyone be able to help me sort this out please?

1. Breaking the chain on my pushbike this morning. Luckily it was just the end of the side plate so one side was still intact and I managed to ride home.

2. Unable to disarm the immobiliser on the Blade and having to find an alternative means into work. Sad . Last time it was a fuse so hopefully its the same again although that gives rise to why 2 fuses have gone in 6 months Confused

3. At work til 22:00 and working tomorrow A.M. when itching to fix the above Laughing

Seeing my stepdad's bike rendered virtually unrideable by the standard of work produced by T Northeast in Horley - crank case bolts half done up, missing clutch adjuster cover, work (over)charged for but not done. Avoid them at all costs.

Pisses me off coz he's so straight about his charges and puts himself out for others all the time, always goes the extra mile, then gets treated like that.

Trading Standards are going to have a field day.

Being headhunted and led down a merry path by a previous employer only to be brushed off by eMail this morning. What a waste of effing time and hope. Twisted Evil

That sounds serious. For a laugh, have a careful look through the forum. Somewhere there is a picture of a member's member ( not mine!). That may cheer you up, especially when you next meet him! Very Happy

WPMOT Part 2

Being told I need to obtain listed buildings consent to install wooden gates on two sides of the house.

That is not just completing a 6 page form, but also to include a block plan showing where the gates will go, a detailed block plan to show details, drawings (photographs if the gates are not bespoke) of the the design of the gates, the materials being used and a "Design and Access Statement" detailing why I want these gates, what the gates are for and what impact (visual etc) they will have on the listed building. Shocked

It would be easier to give the dog to a local Korean restaurant.

The good news being that I do not need planning permission as the gates are not attached to a boundary and that the house officially has a wing! Rolling Eyes

The gates will be fixed to the house. Besides, now being a local councillor I think I need to behave in such matters. Smile
