Failing that, a copy of their 2012 Calendar will suffice _________________ Boxhill Chippendales

First assessment ride for RoSPA went well, always nice to get feedback, good or otherwise, although apparently, pulling up at the lights with a stoppie is not "test material" _________________

Back home after 5 days "oooop north" touring the Peak and Lake districts and the Yorkshire Dales. Only a couple of photos but hours of video on my Helmet cam. Was on the Cruiser so the pace was sedate but rode some cracking roads, met some great people and will be visiting again very soon I hope _________________ Opinions are like assholes...... Let me know and I'll give you some pointers to excellent roads which don't feature prominently in reports or articles. |

One of these coming my way Friday
TBH I have no idea why I bought it. I fancied the look of it in the shop, had a test ride, and signed on the dotted line. Total impulse purchase, as all the best purchases are!

nice one. FZ1 or FZ8?
Have they improved the tank size/range?? The FZ1 was almost as bad as my Firestorm! _________________

It's the 8. I don't want to deal with the tyre and fuel bills of another 1000cc+ bike, not to mention my inner hooligan/tw*t always yanking the throttle at inopportune moments. The 8 still takes off though, lifting the front wheel in 2nd easily. Tank is 17l so I reckon a realistic 130-140 miles before reserve under normal use.
I dunno, everything seemed to fit right, riding position, power delivery etc. And it's soooo smooth
Got a bit of a deal IMHO. The bike was registered in June and only has 917 miles on the clock. Previous owners wife didn't like the pillion seat so he traded it in for a z1000sx. |

No they have not improved the tank range I can have the tank reserve light come on at 110 but the FZ1 is an awesome bike...I absolutely love mine. I have tracked it, used it for twisties and tour on it....Jack of all trades and loads of fun. _________________ Teamwork makes the Dreamwork! |
